Jack Frost Big Boulder Ski Resort

The Big Boulder Ski slopes are right in the same community as the rental.  All snow passes and rentals are good at both resorts,  check Buckman's for  discounts www.buckmans.com Big boulder has snowtubing and night skiing on weekends.  www.jfbb.com

These outlets are a 15 minute ride (80 East) from the Lake Harmony Area.

Jim Thorpe, PA

The little town of Jim Thorpe is about a half hour away.  There is a railroad tour of the Lehigh Gorge that is a lot of fun.  They decorate for the holidays and have lots of little shops and yummy restaurants. www.jimthorpe.org

Lake Harmony, PA
Our townhouse is located on Big Boulder Lake in the town of Lake Harmony, PA.  Here are a few of our favorite places.

 

Local Restaurants

Boulder View Tavern (BVT)  This restaurant is located within walking distance from our townhouse.  It's a nice restaurant and bar with a mountain and lake view. www.boulderviewtavern.com

Louie's Prime A local steak house, haven't been yet.

Nick's Lake House This place has gorgeous views of Lake Harmony and an awesome multi level deck.  It's very casual and laid back. We've been there quite a few times and always had something delicious. nickslakehouse.com

We love this place, it's like a diner with an eclectic collection displays and a wide selection of great food.  It has spectacular breakfasts.  But a word of caution, last time we went for dinner the menu was rather fancy, very pricey and not worth it.  Better bet is breakfast, they have huge coffee mugs!

Convenience stores
There are two Wawas  in the area.
1.One is on route 115 which is about 10 minutes away.
2. There is one right off the Turnpike (476) at exit 95.




Right on Lake Drive there is another family owned convenience store that makes sandwiches and seems to have quite a variety of food, toiletries and other things.

From Philadelphia
Take I-76 to the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike (I-476N).  Continue on I-476 North to "Pocono" Exit 95.  Follow signs to I-80 East to "Blakeslee" Exit 284.  Take Route 115 South to 903, make a right turn onto 903 South, follow for two miles, make a right onto Lake Drive.  Continue to Big Boulder Entrance on left.    Turn left into development and make Left onto Warbler Court, it's #107

From Harrisburg

From NY and NE NJ
Take 1-80 West from George Washington Bridge to Pennsylvania "Blakeslee" Exit 284.
